Happy birthday, Gal Gadot. I’m looking forward to seeing what you bring to the role of Wonder Woman. That Lynda Carter has some mighty big cups to fill . . .

Happy Birthday, Uma Thurman
Happy birthday, Uma Thurman. You’ll be happy to know that I bought the Italian issue of “Vanity Fair” with your photo on the cover, but don’t let it go to your head. I always buy it; the spaghetti recipes are delightful . . .

Happy Birthday, Sigrid Agren
Happy birthday, Sigrid Agren. I might be one-quarter Ukrainian, but I have no idea what this cover says. If I had to guess, I’d say it was something about spring’s hottest perogy recipes . . .
What Fascinates Me
I don’t know why I’m so fascinated with the movie “Outbreak,” but I am. For some reason, I find it to be the greatest unintentional comedy ever produced. It’s got everything I want in a terrible film: overpaid stars phoning in their performances; a glossy production budget that’s wasted at every turn; a “Movie of the Week” script rife with clichés; infected monkeys run amok —what more could I ask for?
Well, let me answer that question. “Outbreak” doesn’t have any song and dance numbers. What I wouldn’t do to see this movie turned into a big musical production! Broadway, are you listening?
Happy Birthday, Jan Hooks
Happy birthday, Jan Hooks. Yes, there are thousands and thousands of uses for corn, all of which I will tell you about right now . . .
